Happy Memorial Day,
Yesterday, I went up north to John's house for his family's Memorial Day barbecue. This was the first time I talked to John in person since Monday, November 5, 2012. We had a fun time together talking about our memories as well as our potential opportunities. Before meeting with John for this celebratory occasion, John had told me through Facebook messaging that he does not really see The Weird, Mysterious, & Paranormal anymore in his future. However, as we began talking about the show, he seemed to show that he was, indeed, still interested in contributing toward it. I informed him that I had archived all of our old Facebook messages from the time I had joined Facebook in December of 2008 through December of 2012, which contained over 3,000 messages between us. I plan on sending these archived messages to him through e-mail very soon to help remind him of all of our old ideas. I also further explained to him what the "surprise" would entail, which I actually revealed to him a few days before the barbecue on Facebook. We will be seeing each other again toward the end of June, which is when the "surprise" will probably be initiated. Besides that, I enjoyed having interesting conversations with my mother's cousin David at the barbecue, who informed me a lot about politics, which in turn has inspired me to think about conspiracy theories and the like that could be incorporated into the show to give it a similar quality to the distrust in government seen on The X-Files, which I have been watching again recently. I have just finished Season 8's "Vienen," and plan on forging ahead to the next episode!
