  • Missing Everyone And The Party Already

    Hello,

I want to report that the party yesterday went fabulously! I had a lot of fun by seeing all of my relatives and being able to swim in my pool with them, eat food with them, listen to some of them sing their hearts out to karaoke, and play four square with them. It was just great to be able to talk to people, especially to ones that I had not seen for many months like Emily. It also was great to add the flavor of newer people in my life to the mix! My coworker at Wendy's came to the party after his shift ended at 8:00 p.m. rather than after 5:00 p.m. (which is when I hoped that he would be let out of work) and was kind enough to buy a bag of about 15 Munchkins and three boxes of a dozen Dunkin Donuts to share with everyone. I introduced him to a bunch of my relatives, including John. The three of us had a great time talking to each other as the night went on and it seems that my coworker was able to warm up to John's sense of humor and general demeanor very well. In fact, it seems that John and him have a few things in common, although they clearly have their differences as well. We did not really talk so much about the "surprise" development for The Weird, Mysterious, & Paranormal that my coworker said he is very willing to help me with. However, today, I was able to see my coworker again at work and it seems that he is pretty interested in collaborating with me and John on The Weird, Mysterious, & Paranormal based on the conversations that we had. It seems like me and him are "hitting it off" very well, so I believe that at this point I can communicate that we will be hanging out more in the future not just as collaborators working on this project, but also as friends just wanting to have a good time. I look forward to seeing what my life will be like in the future by meeting this kind and respectful new friend of mine.

  • Let's Party!

    Hello,

Today, my family is having a party at my house. A whole bunch of my relatives are coming as well as my coworker, who is helping me with the "surprise" toward the development of The Weird, Mysterious, & Paranormal. Some of my relatives are here right now helping us set up. I'm sure that this party will end up being a lot of fun!

  • Emily's 22nd Birthday

    Hello,

I want to wish Emily Zales, who was originally supposed to play the role of Lea Thompson in The Weird, Mysterious, & Paranormal, a very happy 22nd birthday! June is looking like a happy month for all of us that are concerned!

  • The X-Files

    Hello,

I have officially finished watching all nine season of the television series The X-Files along with the first movie The X-Files (Fight The Future), which was released to theaters on June 19, 1998. Now, I just have to finish the second movie The X-Files: I Want To Believe, which was released to theaters on July 24, 2008. This franchise has been so important to me as an influence for The Weird, Mysterious, & Paranormal as well as being something that has entertained me and helped me to not think about bad things that have happened in my life. Overall, I have really enjoyed the ride!

  • The Actual Message Of Advice

    Hello,

I have decided to reveal what the advice was that the filmmaker gave to me recently. Below, is his message exactly as he typed it (meaning, I have done no editing in regards to spelling, grammar, and punctuation):

hey Evan... Sorry for not getting back to you. My head is always in a thousand different places and I lose track of who I've gotten back to and who I haven't... In regard to getting your project off the ground, getting a team of people to work on your idea will be difficult at first. Typically, you need to start off by wearing ALL the hats (director, writer, producer, editor, etc) because most kids would have a hard time committing to someone else's idea if they don't have previous work to show... My advice is to just go out and shoot some video. Since you want this potential series to look professional, you'll need to either spend at LEAST a few months shooting and editing before you started any type of production on your show... I'm sure if you could put together a detailed outline, episode synopsis, character description, etc etc, you could present it to some local filmmakers who might like the idea. The issue is that most are so wrapped up in their own ideas that they struggle to commit to other projects and you find yourself getting impatient and annoyed throughout the collaboration.

Personally, I'd be happy to hear some more about your concepts but between my move to LA and my own ideas, I'd be afraid to make any commitments I couldn't keep.

Download Celtx (celtx.com) it is a great AND FREE!!! Program that easily helps you to write in proper screenplay format and also helps you organize other aspects of the production.

As far as shadowing on any projects, I'll definitely let you know next time I'm shooting in the Wall area... Its a lot of run. you could probably do some simple searching on Craigslist-type sites to find any independent shoots in NYC or NJ since theyre always in need of interns to help out. Just make sure you always google people before you agree to collaborate... Anyone can "appear" to be professional but ultimately shoot low-quality footage.

Best of luck man! Have a great summer and tell your family I said hi... Let me know if you have any other questions... Just be pro-actuve and shoot as much as you can. Its the best way to learn.

  • Precious Advice

    Hello,

I am excited to report that after the stroke of midnight, the filmmaker did finally reply to me and provided a lot of good tips and solid advice toward pursuing my goal of actually filming and releasing The Weird, Mysterious, & Paranormal. The filmmaker and I also had a nice friendly chat about Kickstarter as well. Now, it seems that I am getting my foot in the door.

  • Contact

    Hello,

I wanted to report that I have made contact with both John and the filmmaker today. I sent e-mail messages containing all the Facebook private messages between myself and John to him and, as far as I am aware, he has been appreciative, although he has not talked much about the show. I also made contact with the filmmaker tonight through a Facebook private message. As far as I am aware, he is currently in Los Angeles, California. Hopefully, he will respond to my new message, unlike how he never replied to me back in January.

  • Organizing Archived Facebook Private Messages

    Hello,

I am in the process of going back to the over 3,000 Facebook private messages between myself and John, which I saved by e-mailing them to myself, and pasting them into Microsoft Word Documents. The private messaging between myself and John began in March of 2009, which was a few months after I had joined Facebook in late December of 2008. The private messages technically span from March of 2009 to November of 2012, because neither me nor John sent a private message to one another in December of 2012 back when I officially archived our Facebook private messages during the end of that particular month. I plan on e-mailing these Microsoft Word Documents to John as attachments for him to download and view. It is a rigorous process, especially since the messages sometimes were copied out of order for some reason and I now have to fit the pieces of the puzzle back together. Once this is over though, I am sure that John will be appreciative that I did this for him.
